Hi, I'm Igna —
Your Guide to Zero Waste on a Budget

I believe that living zero waste on a budget should be for everyone — not just people who can afford fancy glass jars and expensive organic stores. Sustainable living doesn't have to be a privilege.

I started this blog because I couldn't find resources that were truly budget-friendly and practical. Everything I found was either too expensive or too extreme. So I decided to document my own journey — the messy, imperfect, affordable version.

What you'll find here is honest, practical advice that fits real life on a real budget. No shame, no perfection — just small steps that actually add up.

How I Started Living Zero Waste on a Budget

A few years ago, I watched a documentary about plastic pollution in the ocean. I remember sitting there, stunned — not because I was unaware of pollution, but because I had never really connected my daily habits to those images. That evening, I walked to my kitchen bin, opened it, and just looked. Really looked. It was full after just two days.

"I didn't have a big budget. I didn't have a perfect plan. I just had the decision to try — one small swap at a time."

My first instinct was to go buy a bunch of zero waste products — bamboo everything, glass containers, beeswax wraps. Then I looked at the price tags and immediately closed the browser. I couldn't afford it. And that's when I realized: the zero waste community had a budget problem.

So I started differently. I used what I had. I swapped things gradually, only when they ran out. I found second-hand alternatives. I learned to make things at home with pantry staples. And slowly — very slowly — my bin got lighter. My grocery bill got smaller. My home felt calmer.

That's what this blog is about. Not perfection. Not a complete lifestyle overhaul. Just the practical, affordable, honest path to zero waste on a budget — the one I wish existed when I started.

What This Blog Stands For

Three principles that guide every article I write

💰

Budget First, Always

Every tip, swap, and recommendation is filtered through one question: can someone on a tight budget actually do this? If not, we don't recommend it.

🌱

Progress Over Perfection

Zero waste is not a destination — it's a direction. One reusable bag matters. One less plastic bottle matters. We celebrate every small step.

📖

Honest, Practical Advice

No greenwashing. No sponsored opinions disguised as reviews. Just real experience from someone who has tried these things on a real budget.
